IMAG0380Oxford Sandy and Blacks at Carlton Towers

Carlton Towers is the new home for a bunch of Oxford Sandy and Blacks, one of the oldest and most distinctive, rare British pig breeds.

Producing our own produce has always been part of the plan at Carlton Towers and what a perfect way to start, the pigs are currently rootling in the grounds of the estate. And with acres of woodland for them to roam freely around Carlton Towers is an ideal home for these natural foragers. And what is more, the Oxford Sandy and Blacks are an excellent breed, known for their lean pork and excellent quality bacon and ham.

This Little Piggy Went to Market will bring you all the latest updates on Carlton’s Oxford Sandy and Blacks and our ‘thislittlepiggywenttomarket’ van will take the home-reared pork to local festivals and events for you to sample.
